You know the state names. This game teaches you where they are.

A state name appears at the top: Find: Ohio.
Some states are highlighted on the map. One of them is the answer.
Tap the one you think it is.
The answer turns green ✓. A wrong pick turns red ✗. Names appear on every highlighted state, so take a moment to study them, then tap Next.
Highlighted states come in different colors so you can tell neighbors apart. The colors don't hint at the answer.

Each round highlights the answer plus 1 other state. A game is 10 rounds. No retries: each answer counts.
Get a state right: +5 XP. Get it right again the next time it comes up: 🔥 +10 XP, and every time after that while the streak lasts.
A wrong answer costs no XP, but breaks that state's streak.
At 25 XP a state earns its ★: that's 3 right in a row, or 5 right in all. A thin bar under the stars shows how close it is.
States without a ★ come up most often.
Earn a ★ for all 50 states to finish the game.

A game is up to 10 rounds (fewer once most states are maxed). No retries: each answer counts.
Get a state right: +5 XP. Get it right again the next time it comes up: 🔥 +10 XP, and every time after that while the streak lasts.
A wrong answer costs no XP, but breaks that state's streak.
XP raises the state's level: ★ at 25 XP, ★★ at 50, and ★★★ 💎 maxed at 100. A thin bar under the stars shows how close it is to the next one.
Maxed states don't come up again. States furthest behind come up most often.

After the warm-up, XP resets and Stage 1 highlights the answer plus 2 other states.
Every 80 right answers you move up a stage, with one more wrong choice. Wrong answers never set you back, so take your time. The wrong choices also come from closer to the answer, so you have to know the exact spot. From Stage 48 on it's the whole map, no highlights.

Max all 50 states 💎 to win the whole game, whatever stage you're on. The map on the home screen shows how close you are.
Max every state in a region, like New England or the Pacific, to conquer it.
The fewer games it takes after the warm-up, the better your medal: 🥇 within 70 games, 🥈 within 80, 🥉 after that.
After you win, every state stays maxed and you can play any stage you like, just for fun.

The map zooms in on the highlighted states automatically. Tap ⟲ to see the whole map again.
Pinch or use the + / − buttons to zoom, and drag to move around when zoomed in.
When small states (like Rhode Island and Delaware) are crowded by other states in play, they get a magnifier bubble out in the ocean: a zoomed-in copy of the state's shape, with an arrow pointing to where it really is. Tap the bubble or the state.
A tap just outside a highlighted state still counts for the nearest one.

Your progress saves automatically on this device and in this browser. You can leave mid-game and pick up where you left off.
